We were thrilled to be part of this year’s World Food Expo (WOFEX), held from August 6 to 9, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center and World Trade Center in Metro Manila. As one of the country’s largest and most anticipated food trade show, WOFEX brought together culinary professionals, food innovators, and global brands, and we were proud to showcase one of our finest: Belcolade, The Real Belgian Chocolate.
At Puratos Philippines, we’ve always believed in the power of combining tradition with local excellence. Our latest innovation in chocolate – Belcolade Origins Noir Philippines 68% Cacao-Trace is crafted the authentic Belgian way, but what makes it truly special is that its cacao beans are sustainably harvested from our very own country, The Philippines. It is one of the first in the world to have this unique story and combination. Sharing this story with WOFEX attendees was a proud moment for us, as it reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and supporting local communities.
Over the course of the four-day event, our booth became a hub for chocolate lovers and industry professionals alike. We offered tastings, shared insights, and had meaningful conversations about what makes Belcolade stand out. Sharing this blend of European chocolate-making expertise and Filipino agricultural excellence was a proud moment for all of us.
The highlight of our WOFEX experience came on Day 3, when we took to the main stage with Chef Christian Valdes. His live chocolate-making demo using Belcolade Origins Noir Philippines 68% Cacao-Trace was a showstopper! Chef Christian’s creativity and skill brought our chocolate to life in ways that captivated the audience. It was a proud moment for us to see Belcolade shine in front of such an enthusiastic crowd. Participating in WOFEX 2025 reaffirmed our mission to elevate the baking and chocolate industry in the Philippines. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, inspire, and share our passion with the community and we’re already looking forward to what’s next.
